A Historic Place

• When you get to the beginning of the North Beach area of San Francisco, you are greeted by a building. It is the famous Condor Club. It is the birthplace of what we call these days — the strip club. It was where Carol Doda took off her top in 1964 and five years later took off her bottom.

It is a San Francisco landmark that many don’t know.
